Initially, I used two 80mm fans, but the noise was really annoying me.
Later, I switched to two 120mm fans and now the noise is much more acceptable.
With 80mm fan you need a high RPM to maintain a good airflow. Replacing with 120mm fan, you still maintain a good airflow with low RPM and reducing the noise.
The Velocity Stack has a real purpose. Because the closed case offers resistance to the passage of air, a small portion of air escapes between the gap between the propeller blades and the fan housing. The VS closes this small gap, and the curved inlet redirects the air to the fan inlet using the principle of laminar flow, creating conditions for the air to enter in a constant and orderly manner. This increases the flow, reduces turbulence and, due to the reduced turbulence, also reduces noise. The gain is very small, but it is still there.
With this case you can easily achieve high levels of overclocking of your bitaxe, and simultaneously maintain low temperature and noise.
I used 52Pi low profile plus with its original fan (need to reorder the the pins to work) and cooper heatsinks on the Voltage Regulator.
