The Piasecki H-21, nicknamed the "Flying Banana" because of its curved fuselage, was a tandem-rotor helicopter developed in the 1950s by the Piasecki Helicopter Corporation. Originally designed for Arctic rescue missions, it was later used by the U.S. military for transport, medevac, and combat support, including during the early years of the Vietnam War. Its unique design helped improve performance in cold climates and rough terrain, and it could carry up to 20 troops or heavy cargo. Although eventually replaced by more advanced helicopters, the H-21 played a key role in the development of modern rotorcraft operations.
Printing Info
There are two versions you can print, one and without a sprue. If you have problems with the rotating rotors or you dont like it, there is also a fixed version under “seperate”. You can also print all parts seperatly. Happy printing!
Building Info
When you print the not-fixed version, the rotors might be stuck initially. Attach them to the fuselage and then wiggle carefully back and forth till they are loose.
