My 2024 Subaru Crosstrek didn't come with a garage door opener on the mirror and I wanted an integrated option since the visors are too thick for a regular opener. This button holder replaces the blanks that are left of the steering wheel next to the light dimmers. It is a direct replacement and modeled to fit a 12mm button from Amazon. I would assume it should fit other 12mm buttons as well.
For the garage door opener, I bought a mini one and soldered the wires to the programmed button then velcroed the opener to the inside of the dash. I may alter this button holder to have a flat front to hide the obvious layer lines the rounded front shows.
Eventually I will likely use this with a latching button for aux lights as well.
Print with the flat part on the plate and use tree supports for the tabs. Due to the snug fit, I had to use a small screw driver on the button to tighten it into the nut.
