I wanted somehow on X1C, to replicate ideea how H2d filter air.
With this filter I was able to print ABS staying in the same room, with window closed, without been disturbed by smell of ABS.
I sealed inside of printer using models:
https://makerworld.com/en/models/806408-bambulab-x1c-p1p-p1s-x1-filter-side-seal#profileId-747026
Note: on last mentioned model, even though it's an updated remix of the original, it didn't fit perfectly, and I had to cut some pieces off at the top.
Moved the hub upper using model:
The cartridge is reversible, you can mount-it with hepa filters as intake or output. I choosed to mount-it with carbon side on output side, be cause I believe this way is less chance to make carbon dust (on intake side there is turbulent air).
Original printer cartridge was taken out, is too small and give obstruction of airflow to this new filter who needs air intake on large area. I intend next to print a new cover where original filter was located, with holes, to have even better air intake.
In order to mount-it you need to make M3 threads on 3 holes on back-plate of the printer, on the holes by the exhaust fan (holes are already there but not threaded)
Also you need some M3 threaded inserts and M3 bolts.
I used an soft gasket tape only on cover by cause printing vertically was not perfect planar.
I didn't used the gasket on the printer side so as not to create a threshold at discharge of poop chute.
When mounting I noticed there is a rectangular hole on back-plate of the printer, so for the moment I just used a piece of tape to cover that (is visible on photo).
If you want to modify, remix, or create other projects, and have access to SolidWorks, I included source files.
The most important think - when printing, in order this filter to function, the exhaust fan must be at 100%
