To help reduce the chance of kicking, tripping or pull the plug out of the wall, i designed and printed (Onshape, Bambu Labs X1C) my own screw type cord retainer. Unfortunately this isn't water proof but it does provide some element protection.
This is not intended to be weather proof, only some resistance.
Both ends of the enclosure allow for a large gauge cord, a size adapter has been included to bring the diameter to ~8mm for common household extension cords.
