I bought a 2s 18650 box from AliExpress and printed the original model. It kinda worked, but the cable of this particular box comes out in the middle instead of the corner and it has a different profile, so I modified the shape to fit this particular box.
I also added a 3rd strap holder to hold onto the head strap more securely. Because the battery box used is open-shelled, it can be mounted permanently to the goggles. You can just take the batteries out for storage or charging when needed.
The EV800D apparently needs some modding to accept external power via battery. For the EV800DM there is an official cable that connect the DC2.5 port on the goggles to a JST plug. So in that case you can just outfit your battery box with the opposite JST plug an be happy!
