I designed this mount to control music playback in my car.
It holds a Bluetooth multimedia button and fits into the steering wheel of several Renault models, including the Latitude, Laguna 3, Megane 3, and Koleos. It may also fit other Renault cars that use the same steering wheel design as the Laguna 3.
The button is attached to the mount using double-sided tape, and the mount itself is slightly smaller (by about 1 cm) than the steering wheel slot for easier installation. Once in place, it can be secured to the wheel with more double-sided tape. It’s designed to stay firmly in place and doesn’t interfere with the airbag.
In my case, my car only has an AUX input, so I use a Bluetooth receiver for audio. Since I couldn’t control playback easily, I added this low-cost Bluetooth button connected to my phone, making it much more convenient.
Printed in TPU to not scratch the steering wheel. Print settings:
- All print speeds: 20mm/s (first layer, infil, outer and inner wall, sparse infil, top surface, gap infill);
- Layer Height: 0.12mm;
- Wall loops: 3;
- Infill: 15%, Gyroid;
- Cooling: 20%;
- Nozzle Temp: 220°C;
