The Aérospatiale Alouette II is a light helicopter that first flew in 1955. Designed and built in France, it was one of the first helicopters powered by a gas turbine engine, which gave it excellent performance for its time. The Alouette II became known for its reliability, versatility, and ease of maintenance. It was used worldwide for various roles, including search and rescue, medical evacuation, military observation, and agricultural work. Its distinctive open-framework tail boom and bubble-shaped cockpit made it easily recognizable. Over the years, thousands of Alouette IIs were produced, and many remain in service today.
Printing Info
There are two versions you can print, one and without a sprue. If you have problems with the rotating rotor or you dont like it, there is also a fixed version under “seperate”. You can also print all parts seperatly. Happy printing!
Building Info
When you print the not-fixed version, the rotor might be stuck initially. Attach it to the fuselage and then wiggle carefully back and forth till its loose.
