Hypno Wheel - for 1:10 scale radio controlled trucks.
I was watching racing and some teams paint patterns on the wheels that animate when the car is rolling. I made an animated wheel design using Onshape CAD.
One thing led to another and I designed a R/C car wheel.
The Hypnotic design is directional. So there are two models - for the Left & Right.
The ‘fins’ that reinforce the spokes are also aerodynamic. The spinning wheel will force hot air from the brakes out from the wheel well. That's the theory anyways.

- 2.2 inch outside rim + 3 inch inside rim. 40mm wide tire. 12mm hex drive nut.
The model is up to version 3 of improvements and the print has been tested a few times.
It fits my Team Associated Pro/4 SC10 race truck perfectly.
My only worry:
I have designed wheels before and I always over-engineer them. Too thick, too heavy, stronger than it needs to be. These wheel are designed lighter, using a 1.5mm minimum thickness. The reinforcing details made it plenty strong.
But the true test will be if my new R/C wheels survive a 6 meter jump onto concrete… ;)
