I wanted a way to presoak the carbide teeth of my saw blade and also wanted to have the blade held in a position that made cleaning all faces of carbide easier.
Since I started using this fixture, I have been more likely to clean my blades, because it is so much easier and faster.
Dawn Professional Heavy Duty Degreaser cleaning spray (from Home Depot) and a brass brush make quick work of cleaning pitch from the teeth.
There are recesses in the bottom to glue in 18mm x 6mm magnets, if storing on a metal wall/cabinet door is your thing.
