Hi, sharing my rear view mirror for bicycle. I wanted to have one that is spherical, to achieve a “wide angle” effect, but all of the dedicated ones I've seen had plastic insert that is super easy to scratch, which was a showstopper for me. That was until I've came across the “wide angle” mirror inserts dedicated for car side mirrors on Aliexpress:

These are the right size, have good quality and are glass. There's a ball joint in the kit, but decided not to use it and to create my own. I tried a couple of designs of the printed holder and finally settled on this, with ball joint and moving arm. The reason for the moving arm is that the mirror can be easily folded, to avoid breaking it in narrow spaces, or extended, e.g. in winter when riding with thick gloves. The outside diameter of the holding part is 34mm, which was fitting diameter of the locking ring on Rockbros locking grips.

Quick guide:

-print all parts in some tough material, resistant to outdoor conditions. I used Fiberon PET-CF, as it also gives elegant surface finish. For the actual mirror holder I recommend to print on the mirror side facing the bed, support on, layer height 0.08. Also for the ball on the arm part I recommend either lower layer for the whole part or adaptive layers.

-mirror holder and handlebarmount parts are supposed to be glued together with a drop of CA glue. I did it like this to avoid supports. Screw will hold these parts together, so the glue is mainly to prevent them from rotating.

-push part has an M4 thread in there, might need to be tapped to get the screw in,

-2 M4 allen screws are needed, one M4x35 or longer, the other (to mount the mirror arm) M4x25, this one also needs a nut (preferably self-locking),

-the ball joint is super tight, with some overlap, as I wanted to sand the ball part a bit for smooth operation and firm grip. You may heat the mirror holder part a bit to avoid it breaking during the insertion,

-You'll need some glue to hold the mirror insert to the printed part. I recommend a silicone based one. I didn't use the double sided tape that's in the kit, because it's quite thick. IMPORTANT: first put the ball joint together and only then glue in the mirror! Otherwise the mirror will stiffen up the plastic part and make it more problematic for assembly, or the mirror can even break.
