Inspired by Youtuber @makerunit's ITX PC design, I designed an enclousure specifically for ADT Link UT4G board.
Main features:
- 3 slots GPU with 392mm length. (PNY 5080 as in the photo) and full size ATX PSU.
- All parts fits in 235x235 bed. Side panel seam follows the texture and is very subtle.
- Magnets for the side panels for easy access of internal components.
- meshed panel on 4 sides with good cooling performance.
Non 3d printable parts requred:
- M3 4.2mmx6 heated inserts (11 pieces)
- 5mm diameter x 2mm depth megnets (32 pieces)
- flexible motherboard cable that can be bend. And angled 12pin PCIe power cable. I ordered custom cable from ModDiy, see photo for cable spec.
- Angled USB 4 cable. I bought https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DG5NWRDR?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
- M3 SHCS (12mm to 16mm). Washer for PCIe mount.
- 140 PC fan x 2. Need to modify the cable to utilize the 12v power from ut4g board.
- (optional) ESP8266 for fan control and BMP280 for temperature monitoring inside closure.
Print instructions:
- For the two frame pieces, tree supports are needed. PETG 0.2mm layer 3 walls 3 top and bottom layers and 15% infill seems to be rigid enough. The side with extended tab should face the bed.
- All panels needs to be print with 0 top and bottom layer and 20% honeycomb infill with 0 degree infill angle. And PETG for the two top panels are recommended. All other panels are intake so can be PLA. Tree supports are needed for side panel 1.
Assemble instruction:
- heat insert all bigger holes. 3 for PCIe mount, 4 for ut4g mount, and 2 for each side of the frame.
- mount ut4g board. Route power cable and usb cable under the board. USB cable should go through the hole.
- Insert PCIe card to the board. put The stand between PCIe tab and frame. use 3 M3 screw with washer to secure the GPU.
- install 140 fan to each frame. airflow should be direct outwards.
- Put the GPU support into the right frame. Connect two frame together with frame connector and secure with m3 screws.
- connect the fans power and ground to the side port of ut4g board. This wiring set the fan to full speed when the card is connected. To be able to control the fan seed, a speed controller or esp8266 board can be used. I’ll update with esp home configuration for the esp8266.
- Connect two frame sides with connector and secure with screws.
- Slide top panels and front panels.
- glue side panels and install magnets.
