Designed this birdhouse to model an early Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant.
Printed in PETG. Designed for single color extruder environment.
Used a .4 nozzle but the KFC sign on the front of the building might look better with higher resolution. The red section of roof installs inside of the roof and tower part. These are tight. Make sure to remove any stringing etc. Will need to press this into place carefully. Also be careful installing the door as the printed latches are tight and might break and require glue. Perch is also tight by design.
Used supports on sign pole. Used limited supports on white roof - in center area. Also used limited support enforcers on foundation - printed with dated side on build plate and used support enforcers only on opening until it starts angle which requires no supports. Definitely don't want supports on outside of foundation.
Sign on post is 3 parts with the frame being slightly wider on one end (which should be the side on the print bed) such that the skinny sign goes in first and the fat sign holds everything in place via the mounting hole.
Use a 3/16x2" eye bolt on top and #6x3/4 screws to hold the roof and foundation to the walls.
Foundation, door and perch are reused from my other birdhouses.
