I needed a dragon/fantasy scale for a children's game. Its loosely based on dragon scales icons from WoW.
Print with basic settings - nothing fancy. Tested on A1 MINI with 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.12 mm layer height, 4 walls, 5 top and bottom layers and 15% gyroid infil.
The model prints flat as I did not want to bother with supports. For warped look, just throw the scale in hot water (I went with nearly boiling), wait a few seconds and then take it out and bend to will. The plastic doesn't heat that much as it was fine to handle with bare hands. Dunk in cold water to stabilize.
The scales in photos are printed in earthy tones rainbow silk filament (Spectrum).
