Use this yarn cake holder to keep your yarn from rolling away as you knit or crochet.
Parts
I used these “detachable swivel clasps” to connect the spinner to both the lanyard and to the base. In particular the attachment part is ½" wide or around 13mm. If you get a swivel that doesn't have the screw bar, you will need to use a split ring (like a keyring) to attach the swivel instead.
I sewed some webbing for the lanyard but you could also crochet or nit an alternative option.
My wife uses the lanyard version to crochet out and about since she can hang it from her wrist or the panic handle in the car.
Printing
I had success printing this in both ASA and in PLA. PETG probably shouldn't give you any problems either. You might need to scale the hook up or down a little on Z if you run into fitment issues, but print a test sample with the hook itself sliced off to see how that'll fit. If you have adhesion issues with the dovetail portion, try setting a brim or slowing down your first layer speeds.
