I wanted to maintain the ability to use the right-hand panel loading path on my Core One despite using an MMU for most prints. My goal was to maintain as much of the stock Bowden-tube geometry as possible, keeping my addition low-profile enough to mount on the Core one swing arm without causing any interference.
Most of the Y-splits out on Printables were for a giant-grass-branded printer and had mounting points, symmetry/angles, and size that were not the best for my purpose. Additionally most used full PC4 pneumatic fittings, which added bulk. So about a half-hour of CAD and test prints gave me this guy.
You'll need 3x E3D collets to complete the coupler. They're the same type used on the buffer cassettes on your MMU. I converted to a set of auto-rewind spools, so I had them lying around.
I recommend using the straight path for the MMU and the bypass for hand-loading (hopefully that helps prevent jams).
Also, my setup is using this passthrough which I highly recommend. With the split, I (hopefully) won't have much need to ever remove the top plexiglass.
