Case for the Apple //e testing keyboard.
Depending on how your printer is setup some rework after printing maybe require.
Mounting holes are for heat inserts (m3) and should be cleared out to 4.2mm but test first. the tactile switch parts should be sanded lightly to remove printer bed marks and to flatten the first layer, this makes them work better.
Print the top … top down.
Print three switch actuators.
Print 7 main switch actuators if yours is the mk1 board (currently off line as I am changing the design.
The rim is optional and use a finishing.
Print the LED lens in transparent filament (yes, I was actually asked).
BOM
- 8 x Heat insert M3 x 4mm High
- 8 x m3 x 6 mm machine screws
- 4 rubber feet
- Coloured Filament of your choice :)
- Transparent Filament (for LED pipe)
Assembly is simple and self evident but.. Fit heat inserts (m3) into the base and the cover. Fit the circuits board using m3x6mm machine screws the with the top laying face down push fit the LED lens in place and secure with glue. (tip stick some black insulating tape to the lens on its side facing the IDC cutout to stop light bleed).
Drop the three tactile switch actuators into their holes (then if using the mk1 board, the seven large actuators) then lower the base assembly into place and secure in place with m3x6mm machine screws.
