Universal Nevermore mount with integrated auxiliary fan splitter switch

I made this mod to mount a Nevermore carbon filter in my Qidi Plus 4, this mod should be compatible with any printer using a 2 pin auxiliary part cooling fan. The MTS-203 DPDT toggle switch allows you to use the auxiliary fan header on the mainboard to control the auxiliary cooling fan when printing low temperature material that require maximum cooling like PLA or power the Nevermore carbon filter when printing material like ABS and ASA that give off potentially harmful VOCs.

Required tools 

• Soldering iron
• Heat set insert tip

 Required hardware 

• 2 M3 Heat set inserts (M3x5x4)
• 1 M3x6 SHCS
• 1 MTS-203 6-Pin 3 Position ON/Off/ON DPDT Mini Toggle Switch(or MTS-202 ON/ON)
• JST-XH 2 Pin male and female connectors with 20cm wires (3 male, and 2 female)
• 3M VHB tape 1/2 inch
• fully assembled nevermore with 1515_Frame_Connector.stl

Slicer settings 

Filament: ASA 
Nozzle: 0.4mm 
Layer height: .2mm 
Infill type: Gyroid, Honeycomb, Triangle or Cubic
Infill percentage: 30% 
Wall count: 4 
Top/Bottom layer: 5

Install 2 M3 Heat set inserts (M3x5x4)

Solder a female JST-XH 2-pin to the center posts of the MTS-203 DPDT mini toggle switch and 2 male JST-XH 2-pin to the other pair of posts.

Install switch into housing.

Mount the the switch housing onto the base.

Mount the Nevermore and plug in the JST-XH connector.

Apply 3M VHB tape to the bottom of the base.

Cut the power cable for the auxiliary part cooling fan. Splice a JST-XH 2-pin male connector on the power side and a JST-XH 2-pin female on the auxiliary fan side.

Install the unit in the enclose and connect the connectors.
