Hello all,

I have recently bought a “pot cover” which has no draining holes. Instead of putting some stones to keep my plant pot away from excessive moisture, I preferred to design a riser that gives 3 mm clearance (scalable for different diameters-heights) to allow my plants to drain.

I made this 100mm diameter for a 120mm pot, but you can scale it:

  1. Remove the uniform scaling from your slicer:
  2. Scale according to the diameter in mm that you need. As 100% will be 100 mm, 150% will be 150 mm.
  3. If you need to make the riser higher, note that the whole 3mm are composed by the “circle” which is 1mm tall, and the “legs” which are 2mm tall. Then if you scale Z to 150% you'll get 1.5mm for the circle and 3mm for the legs. If only the legs are to be raised, CUT in plane XY at Z=1mm, keep both parts, and scale only the upper one: the legs. (Of course, if you've scaled it prior to the cut, maybe the Z is different to 1mm)

I made this model just for me to solve my personal issue, but I hope it can help someone!

Printed with no issues in a Creality Ender V3 KE with following parameters:

  • Scale 100% diameter - 150% height
  • Filament used: SUNLU PLA +
  • Layer height: 0.20mm
  • 3 perimeters → There's no infill
  • EP 100mm/s, IP 200mm/s
  • It printed in even less than the time stated by Orca Slicer XD
