This is a mod to the DBS114 Astrograph. The new rear tube section has a threaded hole to which you can attach:
- a funnel with an 80mm fan;
- a cap to close the hole, if no fan is needed.
The funnel supports an 80mm fan (e.g. a Noctua NF-A8) mounted to blow air into the telescope (preferably with a filter). There is also a cover for the fan, which helps seal the areas around it, and a gasket to include between the funnel/cap and rear tube to add friction and make sure they lock in place.
The funnel is designed to have 4x hot melt threaded inserts, M4x6x6. The thumbscrews use the same M6 nuts as the original design. The fan is held in place with M4x35 screws (assuming a 25mm thick fan).
Suggestions for printing:
- The layers for the threads (0-10mm for REAR_TUBE, and the top 10mm of the funnel/cap) should be printed at 0.2mm layer height or less. The rest can be printed at any layer height (e.g. 0.3);
- The TPU cover and TPU gasket should be printed in TPU - I've used Ninjaflex (85A) TPU with excellent results.
