I designed this wooden smartphone stand as a simple and functional accessory for phones or tablets. The goal was to make something easy to mill, assemble, and use – without glue or screws.
I made it on a 3-axis MillStep CNC using 9.8 mm multiplex plywood. The stand consists of just two interlocking parts that slot together. There's also a cut-out at the bottom so you can plug in a charging cable while your device is docked.
It’s sturdy enough to hold both phones and small tablets, and the design is easy to customize if you want to tweak the angle or size. Everything was milled in one go, no fancy tricks needed – just standard 2D toolpaths.
If you’ve got access to a CNC router and some plywood lying around, this is a fun and quick build!
