This is a points counter that can be used to track score in board games (I personally use it most for Qwirkle games)

Per one counter you need:

  • 1 box
  • 1 cover
  • 3 knobs
  • 3 clickers

Print of any material you like. I recommend PETG for the clickers for more elasticity.

Print the cover “face down”. After you import the model into your slicer, switch to per-object settings, select all objects named ‘print-SOLID-*’ and assign them a different filament. I recommend setting the filament sequence for the first layer to “main color” → “text color” and for the other layers to “text color” → “main color”. This will require two manual changes if you don't have an AMS-like unit (which I also don't) but the clarity of the text will be substantially better.

Assemble the knobs as per 2nd photo (pay attention to the relative placement of the clicker - the long side of the clicker aligns with the long side of the knob). Insert the knobs into the three slots of the cover. Put the cover onto the box fiddling with the knobs so that they rest nicely in the tracks below. Press firmly together - the box's latches will engage. Enjoy.

You can grease the tracks of the box with a small amount of lube/grease.

For smoothest movement, slide the knobs with your thumb, don't “pinch” them between the thumb and the forefinger.
