A replacement of the bottom cap for FreddyZ's fully printed Talon Mag. This model was based on the original bottom cap.
Model notes:
- The model is preoriented and requires no support.
- The print may be quite loose in your magazine; simply adding enough tape to the underside should provide enough friction to prevent it from sliding out.
- Any material would work, although if you like to drop your mags onto the floor, you may want to print it in PETG, or even better, TPU, just any material more flexible than PLA (as you might know, it's quite brittle).
- Printing with a ~10mm brim might help with materials that like to warp.
The print in the pictures will appear a bit shorter than your prints when installed on your mags, that's because the one in the picture was an earlier version that I printed.
Update 11/14/2025:
Due to some feedback in a recent make, the indent in the loop was not deep enough for the spring plate to go into, so that has been fixed. As it turns out, FreddyZ uploaded STEP files for their designs (which I hadn't noticed before), which means I can also link my changes to said designs.
