This is a custom USB holder designed to replace the button blanking strip on a BMW E46 dashboard – the one next to the ASC/DSC button. It’s a remix of another model, but with serious upgrades:
✅ Now with 3 Holes: I added a third port so you can mount a standard car charger PCB. Just remove the plastic casing and drop in the board. Works perfectly with generic AliExpress/Amazon 12V USB chargers.
🔩 Rear Clamp with M3 Bolts: The back has a clamp system for a solid hold using M3 bolts and heat-set inserts (not required, but highly recommended).
📐 Includes STEP File: I reverse-engineered the original STL in Fusion 360 and included a clean STEP file for anyone who wants to customize it further. That alone took hours, so you're welcome.
🕳 Hole Plug Included: The original model had unnecessary holes, and instead of just deleting them from my remix (like a normal person), I made a plug to cover them. It’s here if you need it.
🖨 Print Tips:
Orientation: Print face down, no supports
Material: PETG/ASA recommended for interior car temps (i used PLA and it still hasn't melted but will upgrade to ASA)
Layer Height: 0.2mm is fine, 0.16mm if you’re picky
Infill: 15%
