I made a simple expansion card module that gives you a place to put a stylus/pen when not using it. Very helpful with Framework's new tablet-focused Laptop12! The ring holds anything that's 10mm or less in diameter; it works quite well with the generic 3/8" pen I salvaged from a cheap android tablet (pictured). As a bonus, if this card is installed on the right side of the machine, the pen extending down also blocks me from accidentally bumping the power button, ha!

I printed mine on its side at a 55-degree angle to minimize the need for support while ensuring that the mounting ring included some fully concentric layers. (See included gif above.) A few spots on mine needed a tiny bit of cleanup with a craft knife after printing, but I think they were just because my printer is bad at steep overhangs.

While the bottom of the ring is flush with the bottom of the expansion card slot, it extends slightly above the keyboard. This means that a Laptop12 will sit flat while in “laptop” configuration, but might tilt a few degrees off the table if you set it on a flat surface while folded 360 degrees back in “folio” or “tablet” mode. Only time will prove for sure, but I think the ring is beefy enough that it can support the weight without too much trouble. A short test on my desk showed a bit of flex but no concerning signs of wear after writing a few sentences with a heavy hand.
