Decorative wall mounted planter for small plants with an attachment to a wall. The outer ring diameter is 18 cm. The model consist of two parts, the outer ring and the actual inner planter which is inserted to the ring. The ring can be attached to the wall by a screw with a screw head smaller than 6 mm.
Printing
The model was designed in a way that no supports are required.
To obtain a watertight structure, PETG is a better material for the planter itself. However, the material of the ring can vary anywhere from PLA, PETG to more decorative blended materials like wood filled filament. The only strength requirement is in the area where the ring is held by the screw to the wall.
Post-processing
We decided to paint the planter with copper acrylic paint and the inner pot with more matte orange color. This combination lead to a quite aesthetically pleasing result.
