50m Film Bulk Loader

The loader uses a simple roller system to guide the film smoothly through a light seal, preventing scratches and keeping the film aligned as you spool it into cassettes. The design is straightforward to assemble and doesn’t require any specialized parts beyond common screws and heat inserts.

For the light seal, velvet cloth glued into the slit works best, and covering the roller edges with heat shrink or electrical tape helps keep the film from slipping during use.

This is an evolution of my earlier 30m version, designed for anyone who loves shooting analog and wants an easy, reusable way to load film at home.

Assembly Requirements:
11 × M3x10 screws
2 × M3x16 screws
8 × M3 heat inserts
piece of velvet cloth (thin)

Assembly Instructions:
wind knob should be printed in two parts and screwed together just enough so it spins
Insert heat inserts into the top of the body where the lid will be mounted.
Add a heat insert to the center pin.
Use M3x16 screws to secure the roller in place.
All other screws should be M3x10.
For the light seal, glue velvet cloth into the slit to ensure proper sealing.
Cover the edges of the roller with heat shrink or electrical tape to prevent the film from sliding during operation.
