THIS IS A MAJOR INTEGRATION AND BEST CARRIED OUT AS PART OF INITIAL BUILD
I wasn't entirely happy with the existing Binky and EREC integrations so did my own that felt stronger, more compact and more usable.
EREC motor can lift out vertically, meaning no need to recalibrate after removing.
Binky held onto the frame much more securely. No flex between Binky and TradRack.
Binky can be removed without removing EREC.
EREC can be omitted in favour of Binky only (NOTE: at present I have not modelled a Binky only module).
Servo used for selector is same size as for EREC - one less variation in sourcing and guaranteed proper holding power.
Build Notes:
The EREC gear assembly needed to be inverted due to the geometry, I have included files for the ones I use however should you require a different one simply mirror the original assembly from the EREC project.
I opted to use the same size of servo for the selector as for EREC simply for convenience and have modelled based on this. If demand is high I may model the other servo options as well however .f3d file is attached for your customisation.
The new stronger geometry requires that the selector NEMA17 needs to be mounted slightly further away. To this end there is a new motor mount base that is approx 20mm longer. Take this into consideration when choosing your components like V-Slot rail.
The selector servo horn makes use of the supplied round servo horn that will have come with your servo. This is the same principle as the EREC servo.
Please note, this is modelled to the servos I have, slight geometric differences may require you to finesse fits slightly. I found with the original EREC I had to space the servo back from the mount slightly with washers to get the gears to mesh properly.
I've done some work to ensure it's clear what's going on but generally my work style is quite chaotic! Largely follow the BOM and assembly instructions for the EREC and TradRack. If you've bought multipacks of bolts for those, the bolts will likely be used here. I hoard large amounts of standard M-series bolts so I have less inclination to keep track of what's being used, sorry.
Parts aren't oriented to build plate, I'm lazy. Optimal orientations should be obvious and slicer auto-orientation should handle most stuff.
.f3d file provided.
