This remix adds a snap-fit cockpit insert to the Dune Ornithopter Kit Card.
Designed to print in translucent PETG, the part achieves a clean and durable fit without glue, using intentionally tight tolerances that account for PETG shrinkage.
The insert requires supports in its intended orientation, though all supported surfaces are hidden once assembled. If you have multi-material capability, you may use PLA as an interface material to achieve smoother mating surfaces.
Recommended settings are 0.2 mm layer height, slower print speeds, and solid infill.
