l don't know why but yesterday l was playing with my Butterfly XT and l thought hmmm…. didn't Duncan make mod parts for the butterfly xt and freehand? and so l looked but l was 4-5 years to late lol. i took it apoun myself to make my own weights for the XT (the most popular mod part from Duncan)
the weight l made is nice and snug and is able to add a ton of weight, also doesn't have any vibes from the weight and also doesn't need to be glued in (unless you want the caps permently off) caps are meant to go back on.
to take your butterfly XT caps off, simply unscrew the half and take the half with the axle sticking out and push really hard against a solid platform like asphalt or concreate. (if it wont budge and is giving you trouble then l suggest stepping on it but make sure you slowly put your weight on it intel it pops. all you do now is print the weights and put them in and slide the side caps back on.
l printed my weights a 19 grams as a pair, ended up being really nice and solid but when given to some of my friends to mess with they said its pretty heavy. but its all personal preference
