Foe an easy print, print as per instructions of original model.
Personally, i choose to angle the whole build so the top surface where the pins meet is flat, then enable ironing to get a perfectly flat surface that protects the pins.
Be warned that doing this can create a rougher finish to the rest of the model, and a VERY rough finish to the back of the model, however the important part of the locking mechanism and flat face will be perfectly smooth and square.
