Modular, motor-driven presentation board based on the worm gear of the original model
3D scan turning table by Rogue_72
One model (motorbase single) is designed for operation with only one platform
The end module can also be plugged directly into the motor base modularly
Two turntable sizes are available: D146mm - mounted on every second gear
D70mm (for miniature figures) - can be mounted on any gear
Required parts:
Modelcraft RB350100-0A101R Gear Motor 12 V 1:100
DC Power Supply
Switch and possibly DC Jack
M5 Heat Set Inserts (I use the ones from Ruthex)
M5x10 Screws
1 x M3 Heat Set Insert
7 x M3x8 Screws (for the motor and axle)
Assembly:
Print the base parts (for example, I used 1x modular motor base + 2 extension modules + 1x end module) - total length in this case approximately 850mm. It may be possible to make it even longer, but I haven't tested it.
Print the required quantity of gears, bearings and 1 worm
Insert the heat set inserts (M5 in the bearings and platforms, 1x M3 in the worm)
Mount the motor and worm to the motor base
Now you can screw the bearings onto the panels from below through the slot and insert the gears.
The gears should not be too close to each other to avoid creating stress in the gear system.
Tips:
A little Prusa lubricant on the worm and gears, and possibly in the plain bearings, makes everything run more smoothly :)
By reversing the motor's polarity, you can change the direction of rotation – I polarized it so that the worm engages the gear in a downward motion.
Happy printing!
