Meant to prevent snags in my CoreOne when the filament tries to escape sideways from a loosely wound spool. Not the best invention since sliced bread but it does help sometimes. Affixes to the CoreOne frame with cylindrical neodymium magnets. Two are required because using only one would allow the gadget to rotate and create problems. The cavities are 20 mm diameter by 1.5 mm deep, so any magnet size slightly smaller that that will work.
I slice and print in a slant position so that the magnet cavities come out cleaner, but you decide which way to slice works best for you. Any filament material will do.
