First of all, thanks to Tech Ambrosia for converting the SGI logo to an STL for me to mess around with.
This is the very same model I conjured up to print into a keychain for VCF West 2025, if you happened to be there and nab one before they all disappeared. I took the SGI logo model that Tech Ambrosia provided and loaded it into Tinkercad and set the text into a backing by first making the SGI logo into a negative shape and then slotting the actual SGI logo into the void left by said negative shape, ensuring the text remains paintable after export. (I tried doing it without this, but it created some overlap and the color painting in Orca didn't work right.)
(The STL will--at least in Orca--load as all one color. The text is still there and will be apparent when you begin color painting. Use the color fill option.)
Anyway, I printed these on a Bambu A1 with a 0.2mm nozzle. I'd imagine this would work with any printer that has a 0.2mm nozzle and a multicolor system. I had some adhesion issues printing these in quantity and what worked for me in that case was running a hot first layer (70c on textured PEI, your mileage may vary) to get things stuck down pretty good. Though my filament wasn't the driest so that may have factored in.
I used eSUN PLA Basic for the colors. Print with the SGI logo face down for best results.
Enjoy, and hopefully you don't have anywhere near as much headache as I did getting these to print!
