I'd seen a number of loosely-similar boxes for organizing the individual bits for Heroscape – dice, order markers, and wound markers – and decided to exercise my skill with OpenSCAD to produce my own. I had a set of dice and wound markers from a first-edition RotV set, and a set of 3D-printed order markers (I'm getting older, and the bigger numbers are easier to read).
The result is loosely similar to the other organizer boxes available for download or purchase, except that I made a fitted recess for the D20 to keep it from rolling around, the order markers were bigger than the standard ones, and I had the original separate attack and defense dice, so I wanted enough recesses for all of them. The storage recesses were produced by specifying differences – cubes, cylinders, and an icosahedron – inside an overall cube, then splitting it into upper and lower pieces to guarantee that the recesses aligned properly.
The top has been provided in two separate versions – one with a blank face and one with the Heroscape logo incised into the top. Because Prusaslicer will not save boolean operations with negative volumes as an STL (i.e., I can add the cut-out logo in the slicer, but I can't save the combination back out), I had to go back to OpenSCAD and import the SVG file of the Heroscape logo and incise it directly into the model. This is why the STL file for the top with logo is 4.5Mb.
There is a second 3MF file that has the top with the Heroscape logo incised if you want a fancier box. This has the incised logo added in the slicer, so the file size for the 3MF file is much smaller than the STL for the top with logo all by itself, as the object description is simpler.
The photograph of my printed organizer has the Heroscape Wound Markers by jseyfert3 in the cutouts on the left; the cutouts will hold 20 of the original wound markers, or 24 of jseyfert3's model – they're just a tiny bit flatter than the originals.
