Project: Adjustable Mount for Datalogic GFS 4500 Scanner
Project Goal:
Design a durable, adjustable mount for the Datalogic GFS 4500 scanner, allowing easy installation and tightening using standard M3 screws.
Software and Technology:
The project was created in Fusion 360 with 3D printing in mind. The print was done using PETG to ensure high mechanical strength for screw tightening and secure scanner mounting.
Design Process:
Mount dimensions were determined based on the manufacturer’s documentation and personal measurements of the device.
The mount was designed to accommodate M3 x 6 and M3 x 10 screws with M3 nuts.
To increase durability, wall thickness and layer width were increased, minimizing the number of joints in the model.
The design includes adjustable scanner positioning, allowing the user to set the scanner as needed.
Materials and Manufacturing:
Filament: PETG
Material Purpose: Resistance to screw tightening forces and support for the scanner’s weight
Printing Technique: Optimized wall thickness and minimized joints for maximum durability
Final Result:
A functional mount that is stable, durable, and allows easy installation and adjustment of the Datalogic GFS 4500 scanner. The project is ready for 3D printing and use in industrial or warehouse environments.
