Elegoo Neptune Spoolbox holder

Almost a year ago, one of the very first models I printed was this excellent filament dry box, which can also be used while printing (https://www.printables.com/model/340835-filament-box-spool-holder-dry-box/comments). However, the Elegoo Neptune 4 Plus doesn’t allow me to simply place the box on top of the printer—it only fits on a shelf. Since I really like the design and functionality of this box, I decided to make mounts that let me attach it directly to the printer.

The mounts reuse the screws from the now-unnecessary stock spool holder. There’s also an extension for mounting the filament sensor. On my printer, the cable wasn’t quite long enough, so I quickly made a 10 cm extension using standard connectors and three wires.

The box fits snugly, especially at the back. The front part sometimes shifted a bit when loading a spool, so I added a small patch of double-sided tape underneath. The box can still be completely removed at any time.

I’ve also included the Fusion 360 source file, so you can easily adapt the mounts for your own filament box.
