This is a bracket I designed to create hooks on my french cleat wall. I wanted to be able to print the cleat part of the bracket and then use off the shelf dowels to make some hooks. Ended up coming up with a design that is fully customizable in fusion. Everything is parameterized so you can put in custom dowel sizes/widths/heights/etc. So far I've only tested ¼, 3/8, and ½ dimensions and all work fine. I attached these variations.
By default:
- French Cleat Depth: 3/4 "
- Bracket width: 2"
- Bracket height: 2 ½" (not counting the part above the french cleat
- Wall thickness: ~¼" (6mm)
- Bracket Angle: 15 degrees
It assumes you'll secure the dowel with a #6 screw which is not necessary, but doesn't hurt to add
The hole cut for the dowel is teardrop shaped to avoid needing support in the dowel hole. Support is still needed
