In order to mount a cheap thermometer/hygrometer:
To the 2020 frame using some on-hand hardware:
- 1x M3x5x4 heatset insert
- 1x M3 hammerhead t-nut
- 1x M3 washer (optional)
- 1x M3x6 BHCS
- 1x M3x8 SHCS
Printing Suggestions:
PLA is almost certainly fine for open-air printers but if you are printing inside an enclosure then something temperature resistant such as ASA/ABS is probably preferable.
Assembly Instructions:
Should be pretty self-explanatory but just in case…
- Install heat-set insert into larger of the two holes in the 90 degree bracket.
- Mount enclosure to 90 degree bracket using M3x6 and (optional) washer.
- Mount bracket to printer frame using M3x8 and t-nut.
- Insert thermometer/hygrometer into assembled mounting bracket.
- Profit?
