I originally made a single yarn spindle, but my wife often uses two colors or two different materials when knitting, so i made it with the option of putting two of them side by side on a small table using 6mmx3mm magnets. Works great. Used 608 standard bearing.
There should be no problem making them into three together just by making a lager table. I probably will do in the future.
