A nearly-flush mounted screw-in access cover for a sump pit that fits into a 6" hole on a sump pit cover.

A nearly-flush mounted screw-in access cover for a sump pit. My home radon system pulls air through a sealed cover of my sump pit. I previously had a 6" pvc cleanout installed in the pre-cut 6" hole, but it was bulkier and stuck up higher than I liked. Designed this to replace that pvc cleanout and have a much lower profile.
Print notes:
- Insert: printed with the overhang on the top-side; this required quite a bit of supports, but my first attempt at printing the other way was unsuccessful. Supports only needed along the outside and a portion of the bottom thread.
- Plug: printed top-side down; this only required supports for the finger holes
Post-print, it was initially a bit rough to get it to screw in. After a few minutes of screwing it in/out many times, it now operates smoothly.
