Recursive Cube Cross Fractal | Level 2

This model is Level 2 of a recursive cube pattern, designed in CAD by copying and moving cubes to form a layered geometric structure. The model is cut on a plane to provide a sturdy base for printing, and this cut also reveals a Level 2 Sierpiński triangle pattern.

The Level 2 version balances visual detail with clean printability, making it an accessible but still complex piece for collectors and makers alike. Each print shows sharp edges, crisp lines, and bold geometry that look different from every angle.

I recommend printing this one in a tri-color silk PLA like the filament shown in the photos. The shifting colors highlight the stepped layers of the cubes and add depth to the recursive design.

This model makes a unique display piece for desks, shelves, or creative spaces. It is a great choice for anyone who enjoys mathematical art, geometric sculpture, or distinctive 3D-printed designs.



Print Settings (Bambu Lab P1P):

Nozzle: 0.4 mm
Layer Height: 0.16 mm with 0.2 mm base layer
Infill: 10%, Gyroid
Supports: None
Brim: Recommended for adhesion, especially when scaling the model down. I used a 5mm outer brim only. (Skipping the brim may cause the print to fail.)
