Update 11-02-2026. updated all the files! The BMC is now at a stage I consider production ready, so have a go, do some weird design stuff.
12-12-2025: So, first major update, the BMC is definitely usable, I'm running it in my Foamo blaster (is also going to be uploaded soonish™). The core hits about 125 fps with mega accufakes, and is currently setup for 10 dps (even though with the fast decay circuit this can be tuned higher in the code).
I'm just updating this section to keep track of the project myself. The documentation is currently still severely lacking, but that will get fixed in the coming weeks hopefully.
Introduction
The BMC has a similar design philosophy to the flycore, make it easier for people to focus on designing really cool shells. I wanted to do brushless for mega, because there are no off the shelf flywheels for mega that work well. Brushless allows for quick spin up times, easily printable flywheels, etc.
The documentation is aimed at making the first time brushless building experience as simple as I can. It's still a big project to undertake, but I hope I've made it as easy as possible for everyone who is new to the brushless thing.
The BMC uses the following components:
Flashobby Arthur 2207.5 2500/2750kv brushless motors
NeutronRC 4in1 Am32 45A ESC
OOD Neutron solenoid
4s lipo (size will depend on the actual build)
microcontroller: waveshare rp2040 clone
A 12-30v to 5v step down convertor
Mega magazines: I personally use the titan one, as it has a capacity of 12 darts. These use standard mega mag geometry. Depending on the blaster itself original nerf mega magazines may or may not fit (they have this weird lip that the Titan magazines do not have).
a fast decay solenoid mosfet circuit (standard nerf mosfet irlz44n or the likes, zener diode shottky diode 10kohm resistor and a 200 ohm resister).
And of course the code to run on the rp2040 (will also be made available).
