When fitting a quattro propshaft / driveshaft it is important to make sure the centre U-joint is perfectly straight, otherwise you can get vibrations through the drivetrain. This model allows the creation of an alignment jig to hold the propshaft straight so that you can then line up the centre joint per factory specs.
Its designed to fit the 1995-2002 Audi A8 & S8 D2 generation but should work with most other models as long as the prop is around 60mm diameter.
There are two versions - one for 40mm square tube, and one for 1.5" square tube (38.1mm). Print four of whichever matches the stock you can get, and cable tie them at even intervals to a roughly 1.2m / 4 foot piece of tube, then lift the assembly in to position with a transmission jack (or a friend) and cable tie them to the propshaft with two on each side of the centre joint. This will hold the shaft straight and then you can fit appropriate shims to the centre joint and bolt it in place. Alternatively, you can attach the shaft to the tool on the ground and fit it in one piece, then line it up. Whatever is easiest for you.
