I sculpted a model of a Boa constrictor to act as a base for some cool candles found at Aldi's. I include the original source file from Blender 4.5 but the scale will be wrong in that.
How I Made It
The base was made using a Bezier curve and geometry nodes that specifies a diameter at every point along the curve. It was then converted to a mesh, triangulated, and then I took the dual mesh (to make it topologically hexagons) and extruded that a bit for every cell to get the hexagon pattern over the surface. Then I copied that and merge with a head I sculpted with the sculpting tools. Scale texture was applied to the head using free alpha brushes from BlenderKit (free addon) and then a bit of manual touchup to handle the junction region between multiple passes. The model was really tiny on import into the slicer (unitless scale while modeling) so I scaled it up until it seemed right and then added a 21 mm diameter cylinder to subract from the solid where the candle goes.
