The Python script used to create these vases is open source at mp3-to-stl – all the details are there.
It converts your audio’s waveform into geometry, wrapping it around 360° to form the vase’s curves. Louder parts of the track make wider sections, quieter parts make slimmer ones.
🖨 Settings
- Supports: none
- Infill: 0%
- Perimeters: 3–4
- Top layers: 0 mm
- Bottom layers: same as bottom padding (i.e. match your chosen base thickness)
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- Material: PLA or PETG
- Spiral vase mode: off (needed for >1 perimeter)

- Makes a perfect gift
- Great as a decorative vase, lampshade, or desk piece
- Not watertight unless sealed
- Songs with strong dynamics create the most interesting shapes
