This Support Brace is specially designed for our SMC ROM SIMM for the Macintosh SE/30, but it is also compatible with BMOW's ROM-inator II and other ROM SIMM cards.
This model was created by Kero's Mac Mods team, Alan Williams under the supervision of Kay Koba.
The SE/30’s ROM SIMM socket can suffer from poor contact due to the chassis rails pressing from both sides, which can warp the logic board. This brace improves connection reliability by providing gentle support.
Simply insert the brace between the battery holder and the ROM SIMM to apply just the right amount of tension, ensuring stable operation.
