If the Ontos is for the lazy and the poor, then surely I should be able to print it.

This remix changes 4 parts of the Ontos which are too big for a 180x180x180mm printer, namely FrontLeft, FrontRight, BackLeft, and BackRight.

Information

Hardware

This remix requires extra hardware: up to 20 M3x8 socket head cap screws, and possibly some superglue.

These screws are shorter and lower profile compared to original screws used by the Ontos, because these screws are internal. You can use up to 20, though you can probably get away with about half that. I couldn't find a resource online about how spaced out the screw holes should be and so I kinda just added them everywhere.

Printing

Print with the same settings as the original Ontos, except certain parts now require extra support (the two TriggerCuts, FrontLeft_Back, and FrontRight_Front). Paint supports on any part which protrudes out. Auto supports could work too.

Assembly

BackLeft and BackRight are assembled together with screws. FrontLeft and FrontRight might require some superglue on the bottom tab or in the seams between the pieces. Stick the tab in and screw the top parts.

The rest of the blaster is assembled as usual.

Other Words

Unlike Impulse, I am not an engineer, and have no idea what I'm doing, so don't blame me if something catastrophically wrong happens. On my personal Ontos, I use a 1.8x14x300 spring (cut down spring guide) with all 20 screws and nothing horrible has happened (yet).

The two Front pieces can be joined together by superglue. The bottom parts of the Front pieces are too thin to be joined by a screw, and so I just went with a little tab. This may result in some bumps in the prime, which while unnoticeable during normal use they are still there if you go looking for them. If this bothers you, then worry not, you can actually print the original FrontLeft and FrontRight in a 180mm^3 print bed (with quite a bit of leeway), you just have to print it diagonally. You may want to opt for this instead.

Also, it turns out some printers come with a 120mm^3 print bed. Sadly, not even this remix is small enough for that.
