Automotive Air Vent Tab

I created this to replace my dads air vent tabs for his KIA Sorento. The alternative was for the agents to replace the whole vent system. These work better than the original part - as the original is a 2 piece clip which is difficult to insert and clip together in place. 

I've created the tab as a clip on design. The only reason I've made it in 2 parts is so that the tab can be multi coloured. I've printed using PETG and sprayed the main tab Matt Black with RustOleum. The front part can be sprayed any colour, but I used silver to match the KIA Sorento original design. I now have Chrome in my collection of paints and have used on other models. Chrome gives a much better original appearance to silver which looks a bit home made.

Depending on the speed of your print and what supports you use, you may need some light sanding and the primer/paint fills in any lines and gaps.

Screenshots are included for the orientation I used to print.

I've included both g-code at faster speeds, but also the stl if you want to use your own settings and orientations. If you have the time - slow high detailed print will give the best result.

The stl is for the left vent - once imported to the slicer the model can simply be mirrored for the right vent.

I've edited the design since the first print in the photos and made some corrections since having feedback from my dad. The uploaded files should be an improvement to the actual photos posted.
