We use 5l Samla bins for the kids Legos, but to be better able to sort them into different colors and types I created inserts so you can subdivide one bin into half or quarter bins. The bins have a grip so they're easy to pull out and stick together quite securely inside the Samla.
The designs have a separate body for the top 10mm or so, because we printed that in different colors depending on the color of the Legos they take.
Note that I think the bins are too tall to work with the lids, but we don't use lids so I don't have one to try.
